Job Description

What will you do in this job:
  • Leads on-site training to new staff members on all Brewster and Pursuit products and services. Ensure that all staff maintain current product knowledge and provide a high level of customer service standards.
  • Enforce policies and ensure that all requirements are being achieved.
  • Ensure that all targets are being maintained; help with the implementation of promotional items
  • Manages staff reviews, and assist in the hiring process for the new staff if it is required.
  • Ensure that assigned locations are kept clean and tidy.
  • Provide support to the team on customer services issues, and file where they can be referenced if needed.
  • Maintain an excellent relationship with Affiliates
  • Work with Pursuit Adventure Centre Manager on all levels of communication
  • Maintain and update manuals
  • Overseeing the daily reconciliation of cash reports and applicable corrections and adjustments.
  • Monitoring and balancing the change float
  • Ensure cash security by enforcing policies and authorized access to the safes and safe cash handling procedures in the ticketing areas.
  • Continue with staff performance appraisals; addressing strengths and weaknesses on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Effective use of time management and schedule work hours in accordance to busy / slow periods
  • Responsible for ensuring all staff understand Pursuit’s values and the Brewster and Pursuit Adventure Centre brands
  • Make selling Pursuit products an enjoyable experience for both employee and customer
  • Maintain operations within budgeted labour to revenue targets
  • Expected to work at least one full day at the Lake Louise Desk location once per month
  • Leads recruiting, training and developing the roles required with assistance from the Guest Experience manage when necessary.
  • Assists the Pursuit Adventure Centre Manager by acting as main gate keeper of Pursuit Adventure Centre’s wide communication when it is needed
  • Assists the Pursuit Adventure Centre Manager by developing and maintaining a professional and positive relationship with Affiliates, tour group companies, suppliers, Street Team, other departments and Pursuit Adventure Centre’s
  • Ensure retail inventory/fixtures are well stocked and clean at all times
  • Merchandising and display to be maintained and visually appealing at all times. It’s not simply putting things on the floor, but rather making sure it always looks appealing. This means giving some thought to the display.
  • Send Downtown Retail Manager weekly report and inventory needs
What skills and experience do you need for this job:
  • Able to communicate fluently in English. Secondary language skills are an asset.
  • Mature and possess a proven ability or desire to work effectively in a fast paced team environment.
  • Proven Leadership skills
