Full-Time, 6 Month TermAs a Truck Driver, you “Take care of Banff” by delivering services associated with collection of solid waste and recyclables in the residential and commercial markets. Your skills in manoeuvering trucks through alleys, minding obstacles and weather conditions (other vehicles, pedestrians, ice, water, snow, etc.) and diligence in exercising safety in operation and performance are hallmarks of your previous work experience.In this role, you will operate a variety of equipment, vehicles and collect miscellaneous waste. You are confident taking decisions or action on the status and maintenance of containers and the areas surrounding bins and containers to keep safety and the cleanliness reflective of our national park location.You enjoy physical work and are able to maintain consistent performance during your shift in: climbing in and out of the cab of a truck, pushing and pulling bins of up to 200lbs and lifting bags of at least 50 lbs and working outdoors (no matter what Mother Nature has in store). This is a role where working and interacting with co-workers and occasionally with public is required. Comfort with in-the-moment decision making is a key competency.You have a valid Class 3Q Alberta Operator’s license and are able to provide a clean and clear driver’s abstract on hire. You have at least 2 years’ experience operating a light duty truck and similar equipment and are eager to join the Resource Recovery team, providing seven-day-a-week service to our community’s residents and businesses.
