Job Description

Thinking of launching your personal support caregiver career or changing workenvironmentsIndependent Living Services of Simcoe County and Area (ILS) is a leading organization providingsupport and services to adults wishing to live independently and well in their homes. Through ourprograms and services, we are able to assist adults living with permanent physical disabilities andhigh-risk seniors aging at home lead dignified, productive and independent lives. Our personalsupport and assistive living services are funded by the Government of Ontario.We are seeking Attendants to provide personal support for activities of daily living to our clients intheir home for the following permanent part time/full time positions:

  • Barrie/Innisfil
  • Orillia
  • Collingwood

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2 year College Program or Personal Support Worker Certification or equivalent (considered
an asset)
  • 1-3 years of demonstrated experience and practical knowledge in working with disabled
individuals and /or seniors in a formal employment setting.
  • Reliable transportation and Valid Ontario Driver’s License
  • Standard First Aid and CPR
  • Able to obtain a Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
  • Problem solving skills and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill
