JOB OVERVIEW
  • We are looking for an experienced investment advisor with exceptional client service skills to join our team, a person who has big bank experience and an entrepreneurial spirit. As a Dealing Representative with our Wealth Management team, you will be responsible for proactively servicing the investment needs of an existing client base, while also managing the associated trade processing and administration of client accounts.
  • You will be assigned clients from Barrie as well as Brantford, Niagara, and the GTA. To service those clients, you will be provided with the latest Microsoft Surface technology to engage with clients remotely through Microsoft Teams. You will also have access to meet clients at separate meeting facilities, or in the client’s home. You will be provided with a rental or company car when traveling for work and if this is not available, compensation for mileage. Traveling away from Barrie at least one day a week is an expected part of the role.
HOURS37.5 hours per week, typically Monday to Friday. Evening and weekend work will be required in order to accommodate client schedules. The role may require increased hours during peak seasons.WHAT SETS US APART
  • We do business differently. We recommend investments to our clients that are founded on financial science and we act in the client’s best interest, always. This mission, and our company culture, will align with your values.
  • You will have a sense of achievement providing a positive and meaningful difference to our clients. This is fulfilling work, exceeding customer expectations while implementing a client best interest standard. This cannot be overstated. • This is a growth opportunity that will make your knowledge and skill sets more valuable to a competitive industry and marketplace. You will have a chance to work closely as a colleague with a seasoned financial advisor at the top of his game. Through collaboration, you will gain an understanding of markets and investment products that is not available to you in the siloed investment product delivered system of a Big Bank.
  • This is full-time salaried position, with a competitive base salary and a bonus based on performance.
  • You will be part of a team, providing support and a strong sense of community.
  • You will work from our Barrie office when not traveling for work. There is some flexibility in your work hours. We are all about performance and results, not 9 to 5 work hours.
  • Our business is growing, giving you an opportunity to grow as well.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Service assigned client base by effectively and proactively managing the client’s financial needs. We meet our clients regularly, in person primarily but also online as well.
  • Effectively communicate our corporate principals and investment strategy to clients and prospects.
  • Leverage your investment knowledge to create wealth management and investment services for our clients.
  • Provide exceptional investment advice by identifying and recommending solutions that fit and meet client needs.
  • Prepare materials and reports for client meetings and complete all meeting follow-up activities.

  • Foster and support positive client relationships using personalized service and trusted advice.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of economic and market conditions.
  • Demonstrate excellent listening and strong consultative skills.
  • Work with the head office leadership team, to implement programs and strategies.
