Job Description

Full Job Posting Position: Assistant District AdministratorPosition Status: Permanent P/TReports to: President & Board of DirectorsApplication Deadline: Until position is filled.Start Date: ASAPHours: Flex 18-30+ hours per weekHuronia District Soccer Association: Huronia District is a not-for-profit organization that serves over 11,000 members in 30 adult and youth clubs from Bradford to North Bay.Position: HDSA (Huronia District Soccer Association) is in search of a self-motivated, reliable individual to assume the role of Assistant Administrator. This position will manage and provide administrative and operational support for District Administrator and Board of DirectorsRequirements:

  • Flexible availability Days/Evenings/Weekends
  • Preference to those with administrative/sports management background
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced customer facing environment
Duties to include but not limited to:
  • overall day-to-day operational responsibility for District
  • extensive interaction /liaison with Board of Directors, Ontario Soccer, Clubs and Leagues
  • maintenance of management information and data systems including District web site
  • assist discipline committee and board members in respect to meetings, hearings, courses etc.
  • assist in developing annual budgets and forecasts
  • process AP / AR /JE and month end reconciliations
  • primary organizational interface for clubs and other leagues in relation to league operations
  • preparation of league schedules
  • assignment of referees
  • assist with marketing District via social media & email blasts
  • other duties as required by Board of Directors
Experience & Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of office administration experience and/or sports management
  • Experience within a not-for-profit, volunteer and or sport organisation would be an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Quick Books
  • Self-driven, accountable, energetic, and team player with the ability to work without supervision
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Interest or knowledge in the game of soccer is preferred
  • Knowledge of E2E, Oscar, and Sports Engine is an asset but can be trained
  • Reliable form of transportation required
Salary: Negotiable based on experienceJob Types: Part-time, PermanentPart-time hours: 18-30+ hrs per weekSalary: $20.00-$25.00 per hourSchedule
  • Hybrid office option
  • Vacation/Sick leave entitlement
  • Monday to Friday with some weekend work
Education:
  • Sport Admin, Business, or Office Admin Degree/Certificate (preferred)
  • 3 -5 years experience in a not-for-profit sport organisation.
