Job Description

ParaMed needs a Health and Safety Partner to join our team of experienced Human Resources professionals in our People and Culture Department! If you are passionate about Human Resources, and are experienced with the administration of WSIB claims, we’ve got the perfect fit for you! We are seeking a knowledgeable and energetic individual who displays a high level of customer service to champion a safe and healthy workplace in ourNorth Simcoe Muskoka location!Still Interested Good!Who you are

  • WSIB guru! Experienced in filing and managing claims including Return to Work programs and all accompanying administration
  • You love to be busy: not just balancing one or 2 claims/files at a time! You are masterful in WSIB claims management
  • Tactful and Diplomatic: Dedicated to ensuring a safe workplace including identification of potential hazards and ability to make sound recommendations for implementation
  • An Engaging Presenter: conduct safety training and follow up with new hire groups
  • Leadership skills: collaborate with leadership and employees on the Joint Health and Safety committee
  • A team player: willing to help other members of the People and Culture team in HR related tasks
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, meet deadlines and work well under pressure

  • Manage worker compensation claims and RTW program
  • Assist with modified work programs
  • Maintain monthly and annual inspection reports
  • Maintain valid MSDS/SDS for hazardous materials on site
  • Participate in orientation for new hires
