Position: Human Resources Generalist – Union ExperienceLocation: Barrie, ON areaSalary: $60,000 - $65,000 per year (depending on experience)Industry: Manufacturing / Human Resources / Union / IndustrialEmployment Term: Fulltime / Permanent Rolesamp; Responsibilities:

• Participate in HR activities such as recruitment and retention, compensation and benefits.
• Direct training and communication programs to interpret company policies and procedures.
• Prepare and participate with collective bargaining process including document control, coordination of required documents
• Focus on employee relations and labour relations.
• Attends labour / management meetings and ensure consistent application of the collective agreements
• Other related HR Generalist duties as assigned.

Qualificationsamp; Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• 5+ Years related HR Generalist experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• HRPA designation (CHRP, CHRL, CHRE) highly preferred.
• Working experience in a unionized environment a definite asset.
• Thorough knowledge of current employment law and applicable legislations
• Previous experience in recruitment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
