Summary: We are currently looking for new members of our team to work in the various Entry Level Positions. These positions would be responsible for (but not limited to) Four Seasons Landscaping,Construction, and some General Handyman/Labour roles.Applicants must be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or hold a valid Workers Permit or a person to whom refugee protection has been granted under the Immigration and Refugee Act for the start and duration of employment.About Us: SQ Workforce Incorporated is a dynamic, community-focused organisation that focuses its efforts as a social enterprise on community development. This job may include higher than average physical activity, and our ideal candidate is eager to work hard.Landscaping and Four Season Maintenance: - Spread top soil, lay sod, plant flowers, grass, shrubs and trees and perform other duties to assist with the construction of a landscape and related structures.- Cut grass, rake, fertilise and water lawns, weed gardens, prune shrubs and trees and perform other maintenance duties as directed by the supervisor.- Maintain lawns and grass along roadsides.- Operate and maintain power mowers, tractors, chain saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, pruning saws and other landscape maintenance equipment.- Spray trees, shrubs, lawns and gardens, as directed, to control insects and disease.- Perform other manual duties to clean and maintain landscaped environments.- Install garden edging, landscape aggregates and more.- Other duties as assigned.Other/General Duties: - Site demolition, clean up, preparation, teardown, staging and set up.- Handyman installations- Moving of equipment and materials.- Assisting in small renovations and repairs.- Other duties as assignedAdditional Information: - Must be able to lift a minimum 25 kg (50 lbs), above waist height, potentially for sustained periods of time.- G2 or G licence and a clean drivers abstract report would be considered an asset to applicants.- Previous experience in safe operation of a small compact loader would be considered an asset.- Weekend hours will be required.- Winter hours may vary.- Must be able to supply an active cell phone number.- Must be able to secure transport to 80 Bradford St, Barrie or pickup locations in a timely manner.Company Disclosure: Some of our positions are a part of an Employment Strategy Fund by the Employment and Social Development Canada.
