The successful candidate will have a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement of themselves and the company.Do not miss the opportunity to join an engaging team of people-centric professionals, leaders, problem solvers, entrepreneurs in spirit and status quo-fighters!Job SummaryWe are seeking a Millwright to focus on installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing injection molding machine control systems as well as other miscellaneous equipment. The Millwright reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and will work a 12-hour continental day shift schedule (7:00am -7:00pm, 7 shifts bi-weekly). This position offers opportunities for growth by way of our promote from within culture.HOURLY WAGE: $39.03 based on experience Principle Accountabilities

  • Conduct preventative maintenance on all plant equipment as per schedule, completing all relative paperwork.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot and repair injection molding machines, compressed air system, cooling water systems and vacuum conveying systems
  • Address all mechanical issues that may arise on the production floor, as well as prepare minor electrical repairs
  • Responsible for following and carrying out HWIN Waste Manifest Procedure.
  • Work closely with all departments to deliver positive results.
  • Assembly of machineryamp; equipment prior to installation using handamp; power tools and welding equipment.
  • Competentlyamp; safely use all tools for the efficient overhaul, maintenance or set up of company assets.
  • Follow lock-out tag-out procedures and guidelines
  • Operate equipment lifting devices, scissor liftsamp; genie boom if required.
  • Assist with training Apprentices
  • Perform any other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Certification, in good standing, of an Ontario Provincial Trade qualification (433A) or Interprovincial qualification (Red Seal) as a Millwright, Dual Ticket is an asset
  • Mechanical Engineering Technician Diploma is an asset
  • 3+ years of proven ability as a Millwright
  • 5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in plastics, injection molding or extrusion would be a definite asset.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong hydraulic, pneumatics and robotics experience.
  • Effective written and verbal communication ability
  • Must provide own basic hand tools
  • Must be able to work 12-hour continental Day shift and overtime if necessary and be shift flexible
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices

Working ConditionsIncumbent spends almost 100% of their time in the plant environment requiring varying degrees of considerable physical labour. Lifting, pulling, pushing heavy objects (50-100 lbs.), standing and walking cover the majority of the work. Personal safety is affected by exposure to heat, dust, noise levels and the use of equipment such as sharp blades. Moderate amount of sensory attention is required.
