Job Description

For over 20 years, Collingwood General & Marine Hospital (CGMH), Georgian Bay General Hospital (GBGH), Headwaters Health Care Centre (HHCC) and Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) have been in partnership sharing a single Health Information System (HIS) – MEDITECH.The primary purpose of this partnership is to improve patient safety and quality of care by promoting, implementing and maintaining a 1 Patient, 1 Record, 1 Portal, 1 Log in vision through a single shared HIS. CARE4 has identified information and technology as a key pillar to support a safe and efficient patient experience while driving clinical excellence. We are excited to be preparing for the implementation of a new health information system (MEDITECH Expanse) that will bring together a team of skilled clinical experts and stakeholders from the four partner hospitals.POSITION SUMMARY & ACCOUNTABILITIESAs the Project Coordinator you are responsible for the successful coordination and implementation of training, education and change management projects and initiatives, working with team resources from across the organizations to ensure project objectives are delivered on-time and on-budget according to defined scope, timeline and cost parameters.The Project Coordinator plans and schedules all training, education and change management activities toward these objectives, applying technical, theoretical and managerial skills to satisfy project requirements, while forming and guiding project teams for success and building positive professional relationships with stakeholders. The Project Coordinator leads and/or participates on multiple projects simultaneously, requiring leadership, efficient planning and prioritization skills.In addition to coordinating projects, the Project Coordinator is also responsible for coaching, mentoring and training both staff and leaders throughout the organization on the use of change/project management tools and techniques and standard methodologies.Travel between hospital sites may be required. You must have access to reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license. You may be assigned to an alternate main site temporarily at the discretion of the Regional Partnership.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Four year Undergraduate Degree specific to Human Resources, Healthcare, Change Management, or Project Management
  • About three years’ experience building and maintaining effective teams and working relationships
  • About three years’ experience of on the job human resources, change management/project management experience with proven use of project management tools and techniques
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Ability to use conflict resolution tools and techniques
  • Training in risk management and mitigation
  • Working knowledge of project management methodologies, tools and techniques
  • Experience in workflow process mapping
  • CHRP designation
  • Change Management Practitioner (CMP) and/or Project Management Practitioner preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Ability to inspire and direct teams
  • Ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to delegate and assign work to resources
  • Teaching and training techniques
  • Understanding of budgets and fiscal responsibility
