We offer the opportunity of employee ownership, flexibility and consistent employment.As a Railway Flagperson you will be responsible for controlling and directing work groups on active railway property and construction sites. You will perform these duties using specific railway operating rules, instructions, and techniques. This position contributes to the safety and efficiency of the work groups while minimizing delays to railway operations.Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Able to demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of railway industry
  • Perform general labour with crew as required
  • Responsible to ensure compliance to all customer safety policies and procedures
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of all occupational hazards, railway engineering safety regulations and best safety practices for the work being performed.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to demonstrate an ability to work unsupervised as well as in teams
  • Able to work all types of shifts as required
  • Able to work in various weather conditions
  • Must pass e-ERailsafe Canada workforce compliance system
Education & Experience:
  • Valid Class 5/G drivers license
  • Minimum of 2 years related experience in the railway industry.
  • Experience with the use of radios.
