Job Description

As a Server you will create memorable guest experiences by making great food and beverage recommendations and serving delicious items. You will be a member of a cohesive team that supports each other’s success in a fast-paced environment.What you will do:

  • Understand our Guest-Obsessed culture and do whatever it takes to create a positive and memorable guest experience.
  • Make food and drink recommendations to guests and answer all menu and service-related questions.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in with each table regularly and anticipating guest needs.
  • Handle guests’ complaints by listening to their concerns, always informing a manager, and resolving issues PLUS ONE to ensure overall guest satisfaction.

  • Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to listen, understand, and respond to team member and guest requests in a loud environment.
  • Skill and coordination at using hands to write, pour and carry several drinks, plates, and bowls at the same time.
The first “Wimpys” appeared in 1961 as Wimpys Drive-in. Then in 1988, two dedicated restaurateurs relocated and the first Wimpys Diner became established with a full menu.Shortly after that, there was a change in management. The first Wimpys Diner was a BIG success and it is still in operation and successful to date. Both families had a shared vision with one successful location open already the decision was simple to open a second location.In 1992 just a few Kilometers in distance the second location opened, and of course from the beginning the success was even greater than predicted. With two successful locations, the future of the Wimpys Diner franchise was born. Two locations with the same name, same concept, same menu, same philosophy. The future was inevitable, to date there over 50 locations in Ontario and expansion plans are in the works.Wimpys Diner is a casual dining experience adorned with the 50’s and 60’s theme with coin-operated jukeboxes and decorated with memorabilia the atmosphere is unbelievable and so is the food. Wimpys, of course is known for its Famous Hamburgers, morning and all day breakfast, specialty lunches and home style dinners.More importantly, Good Food and Friendly People is our motto!
