Job Description

We provide people around the world with innovative solutions, leading our industry in a way that anticipates the rapidly evolving needs of our customers.Position Summary: The Production Scheduler will be responsible for ensuring the production schedule is meeting it’s full potential, both internalamp; external processors have adequate supply of work orders for finished goods therefore minimizing past due jobs.This is an 18 month contract position.Major responsibilities include:

  • Create and schedule work orders for 2 Warehouses
  • Ensure picklistsamp; assembly packets are sent and coordinate all repack requests for the Assembly Warehouse
  • Communicate with various departments on labour shortages, work center downtime and component shortages
  • Coordinate picklists, purchase orders, transfers and work orders for the Repack Centeramp; Assembly Warehouse
  • Ensure all Bills of Material and routings are updated as needed, including communicating any changes to the Master Planner
  • Lead daily scheduling assembly meetings with Production team to discuss priorities and provide daily schedule to Production Supervisorsamp; Team Leads
  • Maintain and update labelling and work order databases
  • Work with planning departmentsamp; customer service to provide updates on expected completion of work orders
  • Assist with month-end and year-end inventory counts
  • Assist production in identifying areas for improvement to increase efficiencies
  • Other duties as required
RequirementsQualifications:
  • Post-Secondary diploma/degree
  • 5 year of experience in schedulingamp; inventory management in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work cross-functionally with other teamsamp; departments
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Acts with strong sense of urgency
