St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Schools invites applications for a part-time (0.50 FTE) probationary Educational Assistant position at St. Augustine School in Ponoka, Alberta. This position will begin September 9, 2024.Job duties may include academic support, program planning and credit recovery for individual students in grades 9-12 with the intention of supporting successful high school graduation. An understanding of high school programming, strong relational and communication skills are essential. A knowledge of Response to Intervention, differentiation, literacy and numeracy skills, an optimistic attitude, and a willingness to be flexible with duties in an ECS - Gr. 12 environment are assets.The Successful candidate’s offer of employment will be conditional upon receipt of a recent (within 6 months) Criminal Record check inclusive of vulnerable sector and a recent (within 6 months) Alberta Children #39;s Intervention Record Check.
