SandblasterDepartment: OperationsReports to: Manager of ManufacturingFull timeJob Summary: The sandblaster is responsible for sandblasting parts to prepare for paint in addition to ensuring that all parts are sprayed to a consistently high quality in a manufacturing atmosphere.Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities: · Remove dirt/paint/grease from other build up from parts· Set up and operate blast booth· Select an appropriate paint or mix paints according to a pre-determined formula· operate equipment to clean, wash, strip, sand, remove corrosion, fill dents or otherwise prepare items for application of paint, lacquer or other protective coatings· operate automated spray paint, dip or flow coating equipment or other mechanized painting or product coating application equipment· Operate hand-held spray guns to spray paint or coat stationary items· Clean and maintain painting and coating, ventilation, compressed air and personal protective equipment· Clean and perform preparation of work site· Operate, read and maintain air monitoring devices when working in confined spaces and/or hazardous environments· Meet and maintain company quality standards· Actively participates in the implementation and daily routines of the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System· Actively participates and cooperates with internal/external ISO Audits· Other duties as assignedQualifications· Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures· Knowledge of appropriate materials, methods and the tools required in various assembly processes· High school or equivalent· Previous sandblasting experienceKey competencies· Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment· Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner· Effective verbal and listening communications skills· Time management skills· Strong attention to detail and accuracy· Able to work well under pressure· Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work scheduleWork Conditions· Fast-paced environment· Manual dexterity· Physically demanding· Lifting/moving up to 50 lbsJob Type: Full-timeSalary: From $17.50 per hourBenefits:
