Job Description

Loraas Environmental Services is seeking a full-time employee to oversee its scale operations at the Battleford Transfer Station. The selected individual will be the front face of the Transfer Station and will be responsible for communicating relevant information to Loraas customers. Schedule is Tuesday to Saturday with hours of work 8:30am to 5:00pm.Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with scale operation and general paperwork.
  • Ensure Transfer Station delivers exceptional service to both internal and external customers.
  • Work with individuals both on site and in various locations to ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Operation of loader to load waste into trailers for transport and yard clearing
  • A variety of labour and light equipment operation duties, including grounds maintenance (mowing with various equipment, cleaning up wind-blown litter, shoveling snow, etc.) and cleaning of equipment and scale with high-pressure wash.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and policies according to company Safety Manual and OH&S Regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work carefully and efficiently independently.
  • Experience in the customer service profession is preferred.
  • Experience operating loaders is considered an asset, however training will be provided to the selected candidate
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to learn a variety of tasks.
  • Adequate computer skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Valid class 5 license with clean driver’s abstract as well as own reliable transportation to and from Landfill.
  • Criminal Record Check required.
