Job Description

As a Security Professional, you will be at the forefront of security, playing a crucial role in maintaining order, peace and the confidence of those who pass through our site every day.   • Conduct routine patrols of public, secure, and exterior areas to identify security threats, trespassers, and policy violations.
  • Coordinate with RCMP when security threats arise, such as theft, assault, or public disturbances.
  • Assist the public by providing timely intervention and conflict resolution.
  • Perform security risk assessments and report concerns to operations staff.
  • Document and communicate incidents that may impact site operations.
  • Manage the lostamp; found program and respond to site emergencies.
  • Investigate security breaches, interview witnesses, and prepare reports.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.
  • Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including law enforcement and community groups.
  • De-escalate conflicts using non-physical intervention and collaborate with RCMP when necessary.
  • Identify and report safety hazards, security risks, and policy violations.
  • Maintain familiarity with local security rules and regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Strong Communication Skills - verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrate a high level of performance, commitment, and motivation.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Training and Coaching skills
  • Ability to problem solve and strong decision-making skills.
  • Physically fit - ability to respond quickly to a variety of incidents on foot.
  • Valid Security License with the province of British Columbia
  • CPRamp; AED trainingamp; certification
  • Ability to obtain security clearance
  • Reliable transportation to get to and from site.
