THE WINE RETAIL EDUCATORS AT THE GOOD EARTH HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

• Greet arriving guests and welcome them in a friendly and efficient manner
• Educate guests on the wine and product selection, making effective recommendations to promote sales
• Accurately process transactions and receive payments from customers for wine and other retail product sales using the POS system
• Get to know the guests; be able to comfortably answer any questions a guest may have; ensure guest satisfaction
• Ensure complete product knowledge (including but not limited to wine varieties, region, tasting notes, and food pairings) to enhance customer experience and appreciation
• Utilize Smart Serve training to ensure guests are served in a responsible manner, checking identification to verify legal age requirements for customers when warranted
• Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing areas, ensuring products are well-displayed and accessible
• Make a difference in the lives of each and every one of our guests by directly contributing to their extraordinary experiences
• Exercise good judgment and demonstrate leadership abilities
• Drive positive change in the organization
• Assist fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships
• Other duties as assigned

WINE RETAIL EDUCATOR POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Friendly, professional and customer service focused
• Knowledge of wine, wine pairings, and/or related certifications an asset
• Minimum of 1-2 years previous customer service experience
• Experience handling cash and processing payments an asset
• Positive, outgoing and friendly team player
• Flexible availability to work day-time and evenings both mid-week and on weekends required
• Smart Serve Certification required
