For more information, please visit http://www.ssi-schaefer.com/en-ca.About the positionAs a technical cleaner you will be maintaining a good housekeeping of the automation systems. You will be performing routine inspections on the restricted areas, identifying, and addressing cleaning needs for the equipment.ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions:

  • Cleaning, wiping, scrubbing of the warehouse automation equipment
  • Ensuring the proper housekeeping is maintained around the automation equipment
  • Mopping and polishing floors of the SSI Schaefer restricted areas
  • Proactively identify and address cleaning needs of the warehouse
  • Maintaining and storing cleaning equipment, tools, and supplies
  • Fill out cleaning reports on a computer application.
  • Support Automation technician in some basic troubleshooting such resetting and cleaning of equipment
  • Availability to work in different shifts occasionally (weekdays morning, evening, and night shifts). Schedule to be provided weeks in advance.

  • Organizational skills to keep designated areas clean
  • Communication skills to take direction and work alongside technicians
  • Attention to detail to perform an excellent housekeeping and clean equipment all the time
  • Adaptability and flexibility to focus on whatever task is most important at any given time
  • Ability to complete physically demanding tasks
  • Integrity, reliability, and trustworthiness to be left to work independently
  • Willingness to learn about automated equipment preventive maintenance is an asset.
