Job Description

Oxford Learning Beaumont requires knowledgeable teachers who are well versed in math and sciences. Candidates must possess a strong passion for seeing students succeed and must be comfortable teaching students from Grades 9-12.Beaumont is located 7 minutes southeast of Edmonton. All instruction is done at our center and we provide the curriculum.A great candidate for this position will possess the following skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, similar qualifications, or fourth year university students with tutoring experience
  • Classroom and/or tutoring experience is an asset
  • Strong background in biology, chemistry, physics, and math up to grade 12
  • Strong English language communication skills
  • Willing to learn new skills and teaching strategies
  • Strong motivational skills and an ability to keep students on task
  • Dynamic, energetic, and have a good personality
  • Highly organized and able to multitask
  • French is an asset
We ask that interested candidates be available a minimum of 2 evenings a week (3:30-7 p.m.). Preferably Monday and Wednesday, or Tuesday and Thursday.At Oxford Learning, we focus on helping students build cognitive, metacognitive, and learning skills.
