Job Description

Overview:CDN Controls Ltd. is a fully integrated provider of instrumentation, electrical, automation, communication, combustion and emissions, and meter proving services throughout Western Canada. CDN Controls has been providing the oil and gas industry with the high-quality services needed for business operations since 2010. At CDN Controls, we understand that our employees are the biggest asset in our success, and we take great pride in selecting employees who are team orientated, driven and eager to succeed.Our growing company is currently looking to hire a Labourer to join our Maintenance team based out of Beaverlodge, AB. The ideal candidate will have the proven ability to be a self-motivated team player with a can-do attitude and looks forward to growing personally and professionally with CDN.Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all company environmental, heath, and safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist other Journeyman and Apprentices.
  • Assist with calibrations and installations.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, testing equipment and specialty tools.
  • Handle basic Instrumentation Test Equipment.
  • Repair equipment, with follow-up guidance from the Journeyman if required.
  • Complete general labour duties.
  • Other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Available to work overtime if needed
  • Task focused
  • Strong & effective communication skills are required
  • A pre-employment drug and alcohol test is required prior to employment
  • Must be able to take direction, work in a team environment or independently
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs and work in physically challenging conditions
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Must be highly self-motivated and demonstrate leadership skills
