FULL TIME, 1-Year Term - BEDFORD, NS/Blended Office and RemoteHealth Association Nova Scotia is a not-for-profit, non-government, membership-based association with 60 years experience in providing exceptional human resource shared services, innovative clinical engineering solutions, policy support and expertise our customers can count on. Serving more than 130 organizations from across the province of Nova Scotia, our core fee-for-service programs are Clinical Engineering Services, Labour Relations and Compensation Analysis, Group Benefits Solutions and Shared Financial Services. Additionally, we provide policy support for our continuing care members, assisting them to promote positive change in Nova Scotias continuing care sector. We are also the joint sponsor of the Nova Scotia Health Employees Pension Plan.Reporting to the Manager Dementia: Understanding the Journey (DUTJ) and Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) Program -Member and Partner Engagement, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for a wide variety of duties in support of the CCA Program.SummaryThe Administration Assistant plays a key support role within the team. The role is responsible for a wide variety of administrative duties. The Administrative Assistant has a role in supporting the CCA Registry, CCA course and student registration, and certification exam process. The position completes data entry, assisting with online registration and other Registry membership activities, processing course and student registration, assisting student and exam candidates, and supporting the certification exam administration process. This position requires a great deal of tact, sensitivity, attention to details, and a high level of confidentiality.As the ideal candidate you will have a diploma in a related studies with a minimum of 1-3 years experience in an office setting (combination of experience and education will be considered). You will be a self-starter with a broad set of skills and the willingness and talent to tackle any challenge, pivot priorities, and multi-task. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, information management systems, web-based tools, and presentation software. Hands-on experience in the use of information management systems particularly data import/export processes would be an asset. You will have excellent oral and written communication skills; proven client service skills; and the ability to work well independently and as a team player. Knowledge of the health care system would be assets.Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
