Job Description

HaskaPower Inc. is a Nova Scotia-based nutraceutical (supplement) company, which is specialized in the research, development, manufacturing, branding, marketing, sales and export of dietary supplements. The company has already its first 2 products available for sale in the US market and has secured a sizeable export order to a large distribution pharmaceutical and supplement company overseas. The company has other 8 products in its research and development pipeline, to serve the Canadian & the US markets as well as the overseas market.The Company is seeking to hire a Business Development Manager

  • Role Description:
Expansion, Market Share & Sales- Develop new markets and business opportunities to expand our brand awareness, grow our market share across different regions and increase sales- Develop and execute strategic sales strategies, plans and activities to grow sales (volume, value and market share) across different regions markets- Closing national and international dealsPartnership & Supply Chain- Recruiting and managing partners to deliver the targeted revenues and profit objectives with long term partnership relation- Formulate and review business contracts- Demonstrate excellent partnership management and business acumen- Manage supply chain cycle effectively and efficiently- Drive partnership engagement and awareness across all our products (existing & upcoming) to increase existing sales and promote new products- Build an exceptional business experience with our customers, suppliers and partners- Act as business liaison internally and externally- Address and resolve complaints professionally & effectively, and introduce solution to mitigate similar issues from reoccurringMarketing- Assist in developing and maintaining digital marketing strategies & campaigns using all necessary tools (e.g., blogs, email, social media)- Structure and implement research designs to develop, maintain and measure digital marketing campaigns & identify opportunities for growth- evaluation of new technologies and products which best fit the provision of the company objectives- Determine strategic planning of the new products based on budgeting here in Canada and the affordability and acceptance of the target markets to the productsʼ costsOperations- Plan, design and organize the companyʼs regional and divisional sales operations- Establishing & implementing organizational policies and procedures across all stakeholders to regulate workflow while ensure efficiency- Design, mentor, measure and report companyʼs performance, to evaluate and drive business growth & expansion- Commission schemes formulization & implementationPeople Management- Sets talent acquisition strategy and ensures adherence to talent acquisition policies- Understands the local talent marketplace- Understands and forecasts hiring needs- Understands talent landscape; develops talent contingencies and succession pipelines for key roles within the company- Recruiting and managing to deliver the targeted revenues and companyʼs objectives.- Building an energetic, integrated culture that attracts and maintains talented employees & top performers. “Performance Management& Development”- Ensures employees have quality personal development plans (PDPs), communicates about development opportunities.- Establishes line of sight between organization objectives, department strategy and objectives, and individual goals- Set Channel goals and KPIs and Measures employee performance against KPIs- Monitors personnel performance against goals and communicate progress- Provides input and guidance with regard to disciplinary action related to employee performance
  • Position Requirements:
- A combined general management, marketing, sales, budgeting and IT technical professional experience in multinational firms- Experience establishing and leading different accounts and sales regions and independent distributors as well as partners/vendors/service provider relations- Proven strong business acumen and experience; strategizing, development, budgeting, implementation and management of productsʼ development, marketing & sales budgets, plans and strategies- Communication proficiency. Exceptional communicator who initiates, structures and negotiates profitable relations and ability to explain complex concepts clearly- Ability plan and organize sales presentations, meetings and marketing strategies.- Strong knowledge in interpreting company financial data and the ability to analyze it- Proficiency of social media, industry publications and competitors of the company- A good understanding of how market research works and what results mean for a business- Full mastering of preparation of company budgets- Strong project management skills- Ability to demonstrate sales and marketing in digital age- Ability to create marketing campaigns- Full proficiency of creation and follow up of customer leads- Strategic & critical thinking- Customer/Client Focus.- Leadership & People Management and Development- Problem Solving/Analysis and working under pressure
  • Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelorʼs Degree in Business Administration or related studies- At least 15+ yearsʼ experience as a senior/executive sales and technical manager in multinational firms- Effectively leading large technical, commercial and sales force and collaborating with other related departments- Communication Proficiency. Exceptional communicator who initiates, structures and negotiates profitable relations and ability to explain complex concepts clearly- Results orientedReporting to: CEOBased at Halifax, Nova Scotia
  • Contract type:
full-time (30 hours/week) and permanent
  • Salary:
$45.50/hour ($70,980.00 annually)Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $45.00 per hourSchedule:
  • Monday to Friday
