If you are an experienced construction/renovation professional who is interested in opportunities for growth in a vital role, we would love to meet you.Position type: This is a full-time hourly position.Responsibilities: The Project Manager is the leader for our projects, responsible for all operations after receiving the project that has been prepared by our in-house design and estimating team. The Project Manager is responsible for delivering each construction project’s objectives on time, on budget, and with excellence. Duties include:- Lead representative to client, managing their expectations and providing customer service through the entire project- Provide construction technical oversight to the project, directing how the build will be performed- Performing regular site inspections for construction quality, timeliness, and safety- Provide direction to site supervisors so they can perform day-to-day supervision of site staff- Anticipate and coordinate all subcontractors and large material orders- Coordinate with fellow project managers to share in-house labour resources- Process change orders (must be able to perform some estimating duties)- Manage project information on digital platforms, including project schedule, payment schedule, allowances, and selections- Job cost control: oversee purchases and subcontracts and approve invoices- Receive and address any issues escalated from site staff- Providing weekly progressing reporting to management and participate in project completion reporting and analysis with full teamThe ideal candidate will have: - Minimum 5 years of hands-on construction experience in residential renovations (commercial experience is an asset)- Experience in a leadership role as site supervisor/foreman at minimum; previous project management experience strongly preferred- Excellent knowledge of all technical aspects of construction (from rough to finish) to direct a build based on scopes and plans, and to perform some estimating (change orders and ballpark costs)- Able to read construction plans and engineering reports; experience in effectively complying with building codes and standards- Professional communication skills to liaison with wide range of personnel involved in each project: clients and other stakeholders, site staff, subcontractors and suppliers, engineers, permit officials and inspectors- Able to communicate effectively by phone or email and handle heavy volume of correspondence- Extremely effective time, information and detail management skills, with the ability to juggle full scopes of several projects at once- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and prioritization skills to balance different projects and different needs- Willing to be a leader in driving the efficient performance of the job, and in the ethical stewardship of each project and the company’s vision- Computer literacy to effectively learn online-based construction management systems (Builder Trend and Microsoft Suite)Salary: $56,000 to $62,000 per year (approx. $25 to $30 per hour)Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $26.00-$30.00 per hourBenefits:
