Responsibilities: · Works in a stable environment with controlled hours and no late nights· Works as part of a team to provide exemplary service for all residents· Prepares, cooks and serves appealing meals for residents, guests and employees in a safe and attractive manner· Follows menus and recipes, while working within the budget· Makes menu adaptations as necessary.· Problem solves circumstances that arise with the menu or supplies· Participates actively in planning/preparation of special occasion and theme meals· Monitors quality of food and avoids any unnecessary wastage· Maintains knowledge of residents’ special dietary requirementsQualifications: · Completion of a training program from a recognized institution, or equivalent experience· Must demonstrate a creative flair for food preparation and presentation.· Must be knowledgeable of special and therapeutic diets· Must be an effective team player who works well with others· Must be able to work and communicate effectively with staff / residentsJob Types: Part-time, PermanentBenefits:
