Whether on the farm or remotely, the Co-operative Advisor ensures the quality of services offered to members and represents Agropur to the agricultural community at the regional levelReporting to the Chief Cooperation, the Cooperative Advisor is part of a multi-functional team responsible for developing and maintaining a trust-based relationship between Agropur and the dairy producers who are members of the sectors assigned to him. Whether on the farm or remotely, the Co-operative Advisor ensures the quality of services offered to members and represents Agropur to the agricultural community at the regional level.Specifically, the incumbent will:. Organizes, coordinates and facilitates training activities and meetings of facilitators, regional assemblies or any other individual or collective meetings of members to inform them about Agropur’s activities and business environment.. Supports members in their efforts to provide quality milk:. Monitors on-farm milk quality improvement tests performed..Follow-up with members who are experiencing out-of-spec test results on their milk.. Informs and encourages members to implement animal welfare and sustainable agriculture best practices in accordance with codes, standards, policies and other programs put in place by Agropur or industry (e.g. proAction).. Coordinates donations and sponsorships at the regional level.. Provides members with the necessary explanations of the Co-op’s by-laws and policies. It collects and completes applications and all forms related to the membership file.. Collaborates on various internal committees related to various member initiatives aimed at providing diverse and quality services.. Keeps an eye out for any element of the dairy industry that may impact the members of the Cooperative.Requirements. Baccalaureate in agriculture (general option, animal production) or agroeconomics;. Knowledge of dairy cattle farming and the dairy industry. Ability to communicate and maintain quality interpersonal relationships. Ability to work in different situations independently and collaboratively. Must be available to travel and stay occasionally across sectors and across the country. Be available to intervene on an expanded work schedule when required. French and English, spoken and written an asset.
