This commitment has established Clearwater as a global leader in sustainable seafood excellence.We are pleased to be partnered with them to bring a Financial Analyst, Global Supply Chain, Land Based Operations (LBO) role based at their Bedford, Nova Scotia Corporate Office. The position is a permanent full-time position and reports to the Senior Finance Manager, LBO. This position is responsible for analysing routine information for accuracy and business insight. The Financial Analyst will provide the analysis required to ensure efficient and strategic decision support.Major Responsibilities:

• Provide financial support and analysis to the species Business Team in scope of the Pierce facility operations as required
• Calculate program savings in accordance to defined criteria and report savings to Finance Manager, LBO (monthly) for existing cost savings programs
• Work with all stakeholders to provide financial support as required
• Analyze and quantify the value of potential new savings programs and cost avoidance opportunities
• Maintain a high level of communication with the Financial Analyst, Global Supply Chain (LBO) - Pierce to ensure optimal integration of efforts as required
• Collaborate with Plant Manager on capital expenditures
• Perform account analysis of cost centres
• Identify root causes of noted exemptions and gain agreement on corrective action required
• Prepare monthly analysis package for Plant Manager
• Analyze other variances (e.g. stock transfer, freight) as required
• Identify root causes of noted exemptions and gain agreement on corrective action required
• Analyze any unanticipated or extreme variances with the production team and/or the Plant Manager
• Analyze actual charged labour versus absorbed labour
• Analyze actual charged overhead costs versus absorbed overhead costs
• Calculate cost absorption rates to be utilized in AOP standard cost creation
• Cost and analyze non-AOP master data material through SAP
• Analyze lobster mortality provision on a monthly basis
• Support period end close

Qualifications:

• University business degree with Accounting or Finance major
• CPA designation or working towards it
• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience
• SAP user knowledge is an asset
• Strong technical ability including experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
