If you aspire to change the lives of those we serve, then we may have a wonderful opportunity for you.We are currently seeking a Manager, Information Technology to join our team in Bedford, NS.Reporting directly to the Director, IT, the Manager, Information Technology will have the opportunity to help transform the technology used daily by dedicated employees. Working with a mix of technology, the position will require a skill set of vendor management and hands on abilities. This position will help in planning, developing, and managing all IT services, programs, and support throughout the group of companies. This role will also oversee the implementation, deployment, and operation of security standardized solutions.This role is perfect for the IT Professional who has work experience in a diverse IT environment and enjoys the challenge of delivering top-notch business-oriented technology.Your Responsibilities: - Coordinating resources both internally and with vendors to progress project goals- Responsible for managing email, file and IAM for consolidation projects- Business relationship management for distributed locations- Review existing IT operations to ensure efficiency and continuous improvement as well as mitigate operational risks- Acts as the liaison between various employees, technology and support teams- Implement a prioritize list of IT process improvements- Evaluate urgency and act accordingly for all incidents and problems- Taking responsibility for complex problems and driving them to resolution- Help create and deliver business cases for technology acquisitions- Plan end-user training as required- Ability to identify issues and implement creative and strategic solutions to overcome problems- Taking responsibility for complex problems and driving them to resolution- Comfortable working independently and in delivering tasks end to end with minimal supervision- Experience in implementation of technology roadmaps, standards, and processesYour Qualifications Include: - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/MIS or relevant education- At least 5 years of experience working within diverse IT environment(s)- Highly developed understanding of industry regulations, standards, and best practices- Strong working knowledge of Office 365, Azure/AD, SharePoint, and Google Workspace- Experience managing requests in a Service Desk environment- Proven ability to manage vendors.- Excellent written and oral communication skills including ability to partner and influence others and work effectively across geographies and functions.- Self-starter and leader that thrives in a changing environment- Faster learner / Team player / High degree of initiative- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.- Ability to motivate and manage to outcomes.Dedicated to representing the communities in which we live and work, we embrace diversity throughout our organization and encourage members of equity groups to self identify during the application process.
