As one of the largest international bubble tea brands, Chatime sells over 100 million cups of bubble tea every year and is the first public listed bubble tea company in history.Chatime Atlantic owns the exclusive franchise right of Chatime for Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick region. As of today, the company operates four stores in Halifax (NS), two stores in Moncton (NB) and one store in Charlottetown (PEI), its newest store in West Bedford will be open in this summer.THE OPPORTUNITYSince Chatime started its first store in Halifax six years ago, we have grown from a business with one location into a chain of stores across Atlantic Canada. To help ensure efficient operations while growing geographically and building brand, we are looking for a task-driven with extensive knowledge of web server architecture, knowledge of web development, and high-level programming skills to be our Network Administrator – Web Technician. Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, the Web Technician is responsible to set up and maintain the company’s internet connections, local area networks and equipment, as well as conduct necessary maintenance and upgrade for all Chatime locations.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDEInternal Network Administration· Set up local area networks (LANs) and connections to the Internet. for new Chatime stores; properly connect computer workstations, order stations, and printers and other peripheral equipment to the network· Maintain, troubleshoot and administer the use of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs) and computer workstations and other connected equipment for all Chatime locations and the company’s headquarter· To provide problem-solving services to all Chatime stores· Regularly perform master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks and to co-ordinate access and use of computer networks· Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software and operating system software when needed· Trouble shooting software applications when issues arise· Set up and maintain the efficiency of Chatime Atlantic’s database. Maintain control records, data backups and disaster recovery operations· Control and monitor e-mail use, web navigation, and installed software.· Fixing company computers / printers as needed· MISC IT dutiesExternal Network Administration· Maintain and modify Chatime’s web pages and scripts; make website updates as needed· Proposes and develops, using software or a programming language, applications or computerized tools according to the company’s needs or problems encountered· Respond to requests for help and information from website usersREQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONSEducation & Experience

  • University degree (Bachelor’s degree or higher) in computer science, network administration, software engineering or a related field is required.
  • 1-2 years of experience as a network administrator or technician is required
Competencies, Skills and Attributes
  • Knowledge of programming languages including HTML, Perl, and JavaScript
  • Knowledge of programming languages including HTML, Perl, and JavaScript
  • Advanced knowledge in Cloud database, e.g. AWS
  • Knowledge of web tools including Dreamweaver, FrontPage, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Detailed knowledge of hardware systems including circuit boards, processors, and memory modules
  • Knowledge of network security systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex web and software issues
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Proactive thinking and problem solving
  • Attention to details
  • Good communication skills
