SOCIAL MEDIA & DESIGN COORDINATORJob SummaryUnder the guidance of the Brand & Sales managers, the Social Media & Design Coordinator will administer our social media accounts across all of our in-house brands. Creating original content, managing posts, and responding to followers is critical to achieving each of our brands’ marketing goals.For those who are up-to-date on the latest social media trends, have excellent communication skills, and who are highly organized, this is an excellent opportunity to work at one of Canada’s most respected cannabis companies.Who you are:You are a socially savvy organized individual who is able to oversee multiple social accounts at once and switch tasks quickly when needed. You have a strong attention to detail and are usually the first one to spot mistakes. In addition to this, youre great at adhering to brand identity guidelines while creating eye-catching designs and writing engaging captions that surprise and delight our customers. You have experience with cannabis as a consumer or have worked previously within the cannabis industry.Responsibilities:Reporting to the Brand Manager, your work will include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Maintaining and managing several social media accounts across multiple brands while ensuring brand consistency and voice
  • Developing weekly email campaigns targeted to each specific market
  • Creating social content marketing plans that align with business goals to increase both the volume as well as the engagement level of our followers across all channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn)
  • Growing our social media platforms by sourcing, curating, editing and posting engaging content
  • Developing and maintaining a social media content calendar, ensuring that content is scheduled within the minimum amount of advanced time required
  • Staying engaged with followers on social media, including responding to all relevant messages and comments on all platforms
  • Ensuring appropriate analytics are tracked and reported on for all social campaigns and posts
  • Staying up to date on new trends in social media and provide ongoing recommendations for new social initiatives and tactics to deliver on social media strategic objectives and goals
  • Shooting and editing quick behind the scenes videos optimized for social media
  • Preparing marketing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing marketing and sales data
  • Maintaining ongoing knowledge of the cannabis industry relating to regulations, policies, trends, issues, etc. that are relevant to Aqualitas’ interests
  • Ensuring marketing and promotional materials are compliant with the Cannabis Act and Regulations
  • Adhering to all Policies, Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, Good Production Practices (GPP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
  • 3 - 5+ years’ experience in Marketing, Communications or related field
  • Advanced experience and understanding of social media platforms + tools
  • Intermediate graphic design experience (Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro)
  • Previous experience working in a similar position preferred
  • Experience with cannabis is a highly valued asset
  • Excellent writing skills, and a hyperactive eye for detail
  • Junior to intermediate photo and video shooting + editing skills
  • Experience working with WordPress, Hubspot, Meta Insights
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Highly organized and able to manage/execute multiple ongoing projects
  • Ability to quickly prioritize and react to changing dynamics and communicate priorities to key internal and external stakeholders
  • Exceptional ability to work with the public with confidence and enthusiasm
