The Municipal Group of Companies is a large, diversified organization engaged in all major aspects of the heavy civil construction, mining and environmental services within the Atlantic Provinces. We are currently seeking a Transport Coordinator to join our Dispatch Team based out of Bedford, NS.Job Summary:The Transport Coordinator is responsible for the daily compliance of all drivers, maintaining driver files and ensuring all related administrative duties are completed accurately and in a timely manner.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Supervise daily compliance of all drivers.Participate in Divisional costing and improvement initiativesReconcile Monthly and Quarterly fuel tax reports for MGOCCoordinate and distribute data from company systems upon requestSupport Commercial Drivers with compliance defectsReconcile monthly Visa statementsCoordinate with field staff on compliance itemsDistribute Fuel access to MEL employeesCoordinate Onboarding of new employeesDistribute weekly divisional KPI’sManage and maintain driver files and overall complianceClerical duties for Divisional Manager upon requestCoordinate employee training and external vendors as neededOversee operational fines and paymentsParticipate in Company Safety SystemsCompany travel may be requiredAny other duties as requiredRequired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience:A degree or diploma from a recognized university or college1-3 years’ experience in a similar positionAbility to deal with people tactfully, diplomatically, and professionallyAbility to effectively communicate both verbally and in writingMust be detail conscious while maintaining a high degree of accuracyCapacity to work independently, as well as in a team environmentStrong time and priority management skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsProfessional and personable attitudeHigh level of sound and independent judgment and reasoningStrong knowledge of various computer tracking systems such as SharePoint and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word etc)A valid Class 5 Driver’s LicenseA comprehensive compensation package is offered with this position along with opportunities for advancement and training and development.Application Process:Completed applications should be submitted to:Human ResourcesAttention: Jessica WilsonVia Email: jessica.wilson@dexter.caPlease reference “Transport Coordinator†in the subject line.We are an equal opportunity employer that encourages all interested candidates to submit a detailed resume.We would like to thank all those who apply; however only those selected for an interview will be notified.The Municipal Group of Companies offers a competitive compensation and benefit package (medical, dental, and pension plan) and is an equal opportunity employer.We would like to thank all those who apply; however only those selected for an interview will be notified.Quick Apply
