Department of Tourism, Heritage and CultureArtisan IICasual positions(June to September 2021)Open competitionAcadian Historical VillageBertrand (NB)The Department of Tourism, Heritage and Culture is looking for individuals to fill positions as Artisan II within the Acadian Historical Village team.As a member of the Acadian Historical Village team, the successful candidates will be responsible for the following duties:Provide a relevant interpretation in period costume to visitors on the daily life of our ancestors in both official languagesDemonstrate a period craft (shingling, carpentry, cooking, wool work, etc.)Interact with visitors and answer questionsESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of grade ten (10), plus knowledge of and/or ability to demonstrate period and obsolete craft practices, tools, methods and materials, plus considerable related work experience. One (1) year of related work experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.Applicants must clearly demonstrate the essential qualifications to be given further consideration.
