Advance your career with Tenaris.Position SummaryWe are currently seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for our Yard Operations department. The position of Heavy Equipment Operator supports logistics and yard operations by operating equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. Heavy equipment may include front-end loaders and Pettibone lifts with pipe grapples which are used to transport tubular product and accessories for clients in the oil and gas industry. Additionally, the equipment operator must also inspect, clean, maintain and secure all equipment as directed by legislation, policies and procedures.Please note: Tenaris requires all employees to pass a drug and alcohol test as well as fit test, prior to employment. **Ability to work an on-call schedule is a requirement for this position**Role and Responsibilities· Safely transport tubular product (OCTG) and accessories to prepare truck loads within a yard setting· Unload tubular product (OCTG) from rail cars in a safe and efficient manner· Partner with Yard Technicians to support ground operations while this role operates equipment· Operate all heavy equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures· Perform daily pre-safety and maintenance checks of equipment prior to operating and is safe to operate· Clean heavy equipment as scheduled and/or required· Ensure heavy equipment is safely and securely stored· Participate in routine maintenance· Practice workplace safety· Maintain inventory· Perform pre-winter, winter, spring and summer maintenance on yard· Perform other related dutiesEducation / Experience· High School Education is required· Class 5 Driver’s License· Minimum 2-3 years of experience Operating a Loader, handling OCTG tubular product· Experience with operating Pettibone Super 15 & 20 models with pipe grapples as well as JD & Cat loaders with bucket or pipe grapple would be an asset· Certified Loader/Operator course is an asset· Experience handling tubular goods with equipment (i.e. OCTG or Lumber)· Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing as well as a fitness to work test· Ability to work on call rotation and overtime as neededSkills· Knowledge of safe equipment operation and procedures, maintenance and cleaning standards· Problem solving, decision making and effective communication skills· Time management Skills· Intermediate knowledge of other Microsoft Office software is an asset· Ability to prioritize tasks and ensure completion by deadlines.· Strong proven analytical and Organization skills· Attention to detail is critical in the roleJob Types: Full-time, PermanentAdditional pay:
