HEALTH AND SAFETYCOORDINATORSungro Horticulture is seeking a passionate, meticulous, and self-driven Health and Safety Coordinator to implement, monitor, and continuously improve workplace health and safety practices across five harvesting sites and two peat production facilities in the southern part of the province. Reporting to theDirector of Operations, you will play a key role in accident prevention, regulatory compliance, and the promotion of a strong, proactive safety culture.WHAT YOU WILL DO• Implement and maintain health and safety prevention programs across theassigned territory.• Keep all health and safety management system documentation up to date.• Lead health and safety meetings, train teams, and raise employee awarenessof best practices.• Participate in the investigation of incidents/accidents and implementcorrective actions.• Ensure compliance with provincial/federal health and safety laws andregulations, as well as internal company standards.• Work closely with site managers to integrate health and safety into all dailyoperations and to implement health and safety plans.• Maintain accurate health and safety documentation and produce requiredreports.• Act as a resource person during internal and external audits.• Manage workers’ compensation claims and return-to-work processes incollaboration with the company’s human resources department.REQUIREMENTS • Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field (or equivalent experience).• Experience in a similar role, ideally in an industrial, agricultural, or manufacturing setting, is an asset.• Good knowledge of health and safety laws and regulations (e.g.,WorkSafeNB) is an asset.• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.• Ability to work independently and manage priorities across multiple sites.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).• Valid driver’s license required.• Bilingual (French and English).WHAT WE OFFER• A dynamic work environment in a thriving industry.• Competitive salary based on experience ($56,000–$62,000).• Company vehicle or travel allowance.• Group insurance program.• Opportunities for training and professional development.Powered by JazzHR
