As a Class 1 Heavy Haul Driver, you will be responsible for hauling construction equipment from our facilities to sites.Arnettamp; Burgess is a federal carrier and practices compliance with all federal NSC standards and legislation.We employ a small group of drivers with a fleet of tri-drive and tandem winch trucks.Our primary focus is mobilizing our own equipment and supplies for our jobs, so there is potential to be very busy.The majority of our work is based in Alberta, but we have been busy as well in Saskatchewan and British Columbia.Experience with jeep, lowbed, and booster trailer combinations is necessary.Responsibilities:· Operate truck with jeep, lowbed, booster (occasional highboy loads) in a safe and effective manner· Transport heavy equipment to various job sites in western Canada (primarily Alberta).· Load and unload equipment while following site safety rules and regulations· Follow load securement regulations· Conduct routine vehicle inspections and safety checks · Ensure good communication with team about maintenance needs, safety concerns, etc.· Maintain clean and safe equipment and work areas.· Maintain Electronic logs, field level hazard assessments and time sheets in an accurate and timely manner.Requirements· Must have Valid Class 1 driver’s license.· Demonstrate ability, with extensive experience operating tractor and trailer combinations · Experience loading and unloading equipment· Knowledge and experience with heavy equipment within the oil and gas industry · Willingness to work long hours including weekends· Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment drug and alcohol test.· Demonstrate good teamwork and maintain positive interactions with others· Good verbal, reading comprehension, and writing skills.BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary and a complete range of employee benefits.Please forward general resume submission directly to this job posting.We thank all applicants for their interest.
