Job Description

Woodbridge operates more than 50 facilities across 10 countries—employing over 7,500 teammates and serving more than 600 customers worldwide.Responsibilities:Educate team and drive lean concepts and WPS using the toolbox.Drive out waste through VSM, 5Q or LTR activities.A member of the management team with responsibility for planning, health/safety, budgeting and implementing TQM and best methods.Manage production through first-line supervision. *Ensure production schedules and quality requirements are met. *Introduce team-based manufacturing concepts to production employees *Review all aspects of departmental performance with respect to budget, finance plan, plant operating goals, and develop continuous improvement plans *Ensure departments achieve compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations and all Environmental requirements. *Develop Supervisors reporting to this position.Foster a cohesive team environment that promotes opportunity and harmony.Determine resolution to employee issues when required.Ensure that we operate in compliance with the Collective Agreement and manage the collective bargaining and negotiating process. *Corrective actions are implemented in a timely fashion.Conduct regular workplace inspections to ensure a safe work environment.RequirementsCollege/University graduate in Industrial Engineering or Business with 3-5 years of related experience at a senior management level in a manufacturing environment is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience to perform the job requirements may be considered.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to effectively communicate with employees, customers and direct reportsThe ability to read and interpret automotive drawings and specificationsSuperior problem solving and organizational skillsPractical knowledge of foam processes and practices related to design, procurement, production and utilization of mould technology in urethane manufacturing is desiredKnowledge of applicable legislation and corporate policies and practices, including Health, Safety and EnvironmentAwareness of Employment legislation including Employment Standards, Labour Relations Act, Pay Equity, Human Rights, Discrimination legislation and other legal requirements as applicableStrong mathematical skills with firm understanding of accepted accounting principles and supply contract administrationExplore your future.
