Are you interested in working for a company that offers both a challenging work environment and a rewarding career path Chetwynd Forest Products in Chetwynd, BC has an immediate opening for a highly skilled:Maintenance SupervisorReporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for all aspects of safetyamp; maintenance for the Sawmill mill.Functions and Responsibilities:

• Achieving Maintenance goals with the highest regard for employee safety;
• Capable of supporting troubleshootingamp; observations of machine centers with shift supervisors and other maintenance staff to ensure production and quality standards are met;
• Managing the department cost in an aggressive manner assuring optimum manufacturing unit cost; develop, and educate key metrics.
• Maintenance Planning, planning non-emergency maintenance, coordinating PM routes;
• Effectively communicating goals and/or instructions;
• Managing conflicts

Measures and Performance:

• Safety/environmental compliance;
• Interpersonal skills;
• Maintenance/departmental cost;
• Quality;
• Employee training and development;
• Production, grade recovery and downtime;
• Maintenanceamp; appearance of production/plant equipment.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

• Ability to communicate well - both oral and written;
• Certified Trades Person or Minimum 4th Year Apprentice
• Proficient in Microsoft Office ;
• Leadership/supervisory skills;
• A minimum of five years of industrial experience;
• Ability to function independently.
