Job Description

WHO WE AREStarted in 1987 by a young entrepreneur with a single truck and trailer, Steve’s Livestock Transport has since grown to become a leader in the transportation industry.With demonstrated and continued growth, we are currently looking for a Driver Supervisor to join our Logistics team in Blumenort, ManitobaThe RoleThe Primary focus is to supervise a group of drivers to ensure they are successful in their delivery programs. The successful candidate will dispatch, communicate, coordinate, and troubleshoot delivery issues. A signification part of the role is in building relationships with your driver team, understanding and assisting them in their day to day needs to ensure success on the road.This role would work Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm.Responsibilities include

  • Develop relationships with your team of drivers
  • Coach, direct and guide a group of assigned drivers, including discussions on performance, policies, procedures, etc.
  • Ensure drivers are set up for success and have the tools they need for their work
  • Dispatch drivers
  • Communicate workload/schedules to drivers including customer requirements
  • Administrative tasks related to driver pay, Logistics software, permits, etc.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills with the ability to work accurately and efficiently
  • Proven team building and/or leadership skills
  • Strong computer skills
