Key Requirements
  • Must be able to work rotating shift schedules
  • Must be able to commute to Bolton
Primary responsibility is to assemble, fit and install manufactured components and sub-assemblies to form completed systems.Responsibilities:Assemble, fit and install pre-fabricated parts and sub-assemblies to form completed systemsDetermine assembly procedures for a part of a subsystemOversight of self-assembly automation toolsAssemble, fit and install parts for standard-build productsSelects and follows/uses assembly proceduresFollows established flow-line proceduresIdentifies the symptoms and is able to describe a situation or problem they are experiencingEnsure Huskys productivity and quality standards are metIdentify root cause analysis and problem solve quality issuesInspect and test mold components to determine feasibilityEnsure Husky quality standards are met by following appropriate processesImplement continuous improvement initiatives in parts and proceduresAdopts continuous improvement programsLead cross-training and knowledge sharing activities with other team membersCross-train in other areas within the business, and train other team membersTransfer and share knowledge with other team membersEducation / Experience / Qualifications (include only those that are specific to the role):High School Diploma or equivalentCollege Diploma or certificate in Mold Making or Tool and Die Making preferredApprox. 0-5 years of relevant work experience in manufacturing, preferably in new component assemblyKnowledge of assembly tools and relevant equipment (e.g., performing single disciplines in hydraulics mechanics or electrical assemblies, etc.)Ability to understand and interpret design contentUnderstanding of Husky’s Quality standards and requirementsSelf-inspection/metrology and autonomous troubleshootingApply a process-oriented problem solving approach across a variety of situations and activitiesAble to lift minimum of 35 lbsBasic ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics and/or engineering drawings as requiredUnderstanding of data output, trends and SPCsUnderstands and follows Husky EH&S guidelinesA versatile learner, is receptive to change and able to pick up new technical knowledge quickly (e.g., performing single disciplines in hydraulics, mechanics or electrical assemblies)Committed to achieving targets in alignment with Husky’s valuesDemonstrates initiative and takes accountability of their workUnderstanding of assembly procedures, knowledge of assembly work flows and sequencing of activities an assetHusky Injection Molding Systems offers a competitive compensation and benefits package and excellent opportunities for growth and advancement.
