Permacon is a division of Oldcastle® Architectural and operates 9 plants in Ontario and Quebec.We are currently looking for a Machine Operator for our Bolton plant. This job position is a rotating day and night shift (every two weeks).JOB SUMMARY:Reporting to the Production Manager, the Machine operator must be able to handle various tasks including the following:

• Operate the machine, all the related equipment and ensure its good functioning
• Follow quality manual and health and safety policies and procedures
• Participate in maintenance work, mould changes and preventive maintenance of equipment
• Performs operations and necessary adjustments for machine start up, programs equipment in accordance to the product requested, adjust the machine and equipment
• Completes quality and production reports
• Look after the curing of the products to ensure a good curing
• Clean up tasks as required, like cleaning Press / Mixer, keeps work area and toolbox clean

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma
• Manufacturing work experience
• Good team work skills and initiative
• Safety oriented
• Good mechanical aptitudes and capability to progress as a machine operator
• Good learning capabilities
• Capability to perform continual physical work
