Permacon is a division of Oldcastle® Architectural and operates 9 plants in Ontario and Quebec.We are currently looking for a Plant Manager for our plant located in Bolton, ON.Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the Plant Manager will oversee the entire manufacturing operation at the Bolton plant which involves:Health & Safety- Ensure implementation of Permacon’s philosophy of having top priority for the health & safety of all employees and act as a safety champion; Participation in JHSC meetings; Compliance with all safety legislations and policiesOperational Excellence- Lead continuous improvement efforts in production, quality, maintenance, housekeeping and logistics; Develop, maintain and enforce clear operating proceduresPeople & Team Development- Train, develop and engage people so they have the opportunity to learn and achieve their maximum potential to create highly effective, high performing teams; Provide leadership to staff, assessing performance, and directing all operational activitiesMaintenance- Lead maintenance and Operations teams to achieve reliability and good functioning of machines, equipment and systems; Exercise the concept of preventative maintenanceFinancial Accountability- Monitor and direct spending on repairs and maintenance, mobile equipment, utilities, and other suppliesREQUIRED Qualifications:University Degree in a related Technical, Operations or Management fieldMinimum of 5 years of management experience in a manufacturing environmentPrior experience managing people in production, equipment, maintenance and/or quality controlExcellent interpersonal skills; ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees and managersBudget and cost managementKnowledge of production optimization process (such as: 5S, Six Sigma)Leadership skillsInitiative and sense of urgencyPrecision and detail orientedMicrosoft Office knowledgeWe offer a competitive salary and a full range of benefits, including a group pension plan.Individual accommodation shall be provided for applicants with disabilities who meet required qualifications.
