About usRotogran International Inc. - Industrial equipment manufacturerThe successful applicant must possess the following:- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, conflict resolution abilities, leadership skills, and proficient time management.- Full understanding of machine shop operation, fitting, assembling, and welding processes.- Excellent mechanical aptitude including in depth knowledge of the tools, equipment, materials, methods, and standard practices of the trade.- Reliable work history and exceptional organizational habits- Flexibility with the hours of work and a minimum of 10 years of proven experience as Shop Production/ Plant Manager or a similar role.- Proficient computer skills and a collaborative but strong nature with a background in manufacturing which will allow success and growth within the company.The position responsibilities will include but are not limited to:- manage the day-to-day operation of the shop with the ability give guidance and direction as required, and the ability to make decisions and oversee production with little to no direct supervision.- be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.- be responsible for controlling the production schedule in accordance with daily, weekly, monthly orders while managing shop employees.- be able to assess problem situations, recognize issues, and use judgment to create solutions that meet required standards including disciplining shop employees, initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.- prioritize, plan, coordinate, and organize, with an ability to respond and adapt in changing, high pressure situations while ensuring all work is performed safely, cost effectively, and in a timely manner.- assess each employee’s abilities and skills to match with capabilities required for each area of the manufacturing floor.- effective implementation and use of technology, instruments, tools, and information systems.- instruct and train employees and explain tasks clearly in assisting them in solving and diagnosing difficult manufacturing problems.- oversea outside services/suppliers to maintain material for production.- ensure housekeeping is completed and that stock and supplies are put away- ensure stock materials are always replenished.- ensure that all shop personnel, equipment, vehicles, and work areas are always following safety policies and regulations.- take every effort to achieve company's objective in productivity and inventory management.Expected start date: 2021-04-05COVID-19 precautions
