Job Description

Working under the supervision of Finance Director for Carquest Canada, the position of Procurement Specialist will focus on non-trade & capital requisition/payment process, from placement of requisition through to invoice coding and related reporting.Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor the progress of projects and programs as directed by management, and see programs through to completion
  • Identify improvement areas internally as well as perform closely with all internal stakeholders to prepare solutions
  • Work with cross functional teams, locations and vendors to ensure process changes are successfully implemented
  • Be the first point of contact in providing support for all internal customer questions and requests which includes system navigation and support
  • Prepare presentations and reports on behalf of department and Finance Director
  • Participate in formulating workflow processes, methods and policies for applying vendors
  • Prepare documentation, including SOP development modification for assigned projects
  • Assist in defining, creating and documenting processes and procedures based on operating practices and optimizing operational improvements.
  • Participate in the development of long-range capital forecasts and related budget tracking.
  • Assist in developing departmental priorities and decision-making processes.
  • Perform return on investment (ROI) analysis to determine viability and priority of procurement projects
  • Provide root cause analysis and drive action plans while effectively communicating and translating data and results into business insights and actions
  • Assist in training staff members and new hires
  • Scheduling and organize departmental meetings on behalf of the Finance Director
  • Resolves administrative problems by coordinating preparation of reports, analyzing data, and identifying solutions
  • Manage all departmental administrative tasks
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 1-3 years of experience in this or similar role
