Job Description

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: Reporting to the Service Supervisor, the Shipper/Receiver is to provide support to the Warehouse ensuring quality cost effective and efficient utilization of parts in all locations and to ensure accurate reporting to all levels of business at A&B Rail Services.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES · Scan all incoming shipments and transfers, maintain shipping logs, and file all paperwork according to audit requirements· Maintain an organized and clean shipping/receiving area and ensuring safety standards upheld· Receive stock and ensure material/products are placed in the appropriate area of the year/warehouse· Receive all incoming shipments and authorizing for correctness of the product received· Maintain shipping records· Complies with OH&S safety standards· Maintain proper inventory levels of all equipment/tools/parts needed for service tasks· Prepare and load material in a timely manner, to meet delivery deadlines and customer commitments· Switches out vehicles for Flagman/Construction· Sign out vehicles for Flagging team· Outfit vehicles/trucks (i.e. radios, decals, etc)· Looks after Construction fleet (oil changes, basic maintenance, etc.)· Winter months provides snow cleaning/salts walkway and shovels doorways· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed· Other duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
