Job Description

Tek-Mor Inc. is actively recruiting Shipper/Receivers to join our team.Shipper/Receiver needed for a metal manufacturing company in Bolton, Ontario responsible for all aspects of shipping and receiving, including but not limited to, handling incoming and outgoing deliveries, and qualified to operate a forklift.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload truck, putting all items in their proper place
  • Utilize and set up tasks in computer system
  • Prepare list of materials to be shipped
  • Determine method of shipment and arrange shipping; prepare bills of lading, customs forms, invoices and other shipping documents manually and by computer
  • Assemble containers and crates, record contents manually or by computer, pack goods to be shipped and affix identifying information and shipping instructions
  • May operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods.
  • Assist the maintenance department with cleaning or other tasks as needed
  • Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods
  • Unpack, code and route goods to appropriate storage areas
  • Maintain internal, manual, or computerized record-keeping systems
  • And other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suites (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to follow line-up from leader and learn company procedures
  • Good communication and organizational skills
Job Type: Full-timeSalary: From $23.00 per hourSchedule:
  • Day shift
Education:
  • Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:
  • Shipping & receiving: 4 years (preferred)
