Job Description

Scope/ Overview of Position:Launched in 1979 as a wholesale and distribution company, SDR has transformed itself into a leader in the North American 3PL market, specializing in the fashion, footwear, accessories, and related soft goods fulfillment market niche. Well known within the industry for its attention to detail and the constant strive for perfection, SDR’s success has been supported by a top-notch Warehouse Management system (Manhattan Scale) with RF inventory control and a fully compliant EDI communication solution.SDR hosts a clientele base in excess of 100 customers with over 1000 vendors. Our footprint is in excess of 2 million square feet throughout North AmericaAs part of the Human Resources team the Staffing Coordinator/Administrator will provide support to Warehouse Operations, Security, Health and Safety and Payroll. This role will require someone with strong administrative and customer service skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines. You have good working knowledge of MS-Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and adobe. This role will be working onsite independently at our Bolton facility and your desk will be based within our warehouse.SDR Distribution Services is looking for a Staffing Coordinator/Administrator to join our Human Resources team working out of our Bolton facility!Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Coordinate temporary workers to fulfill operational requirements for SDR sites across the GTA.
  • Act as the point of contact between SDR Distribution Services and our Temporary Staffing Agency partners.
  • Welcome new temporary workers and coordinate setup including validating documents, paperwork processing and time clock set-up.
  • Prepare and send temporary worker documents to payroll.
  • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges, issue visitor vests)
  • Receive visitors and contractors with a warm welcome and announce them appropriately to the manager or department they are visiting
  • Complete orientation for new employees and temporary workers including Health and Safety, company policies and housekeeping
  • Work with housekeeping staff to ensure lunchroom and washroom cleanliness and coordinate issues with maintenance and cleaning staff
  • Point of contact for minor facility requirements or issues including parking, locker requests, minor repairs, etc.
  • Monitor office supplies
  • Provide occasional support for other departments and perform clerical duties as needed
Qualifications, Education and Experience Required:
  • A minimum High School diploma is required
  • 2-3 years of related administrative experience preferably within a warehouse environment
  • Previous experience with temporary staffing coordination and orientation is preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office, Excel, Word, Outlook, and adobe
  • Ability to maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality
  • You’re approachable, positive, and enthusiastic with a strong customer service mind set
  • Must have the ability to multitask and provide administrative support to multiple departments while meeting daily requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must
  • Able to work independently with little interaction with others and minimal supervision
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Must be able to work onsite at our Bolton facility
  • Must have own transportation as this site is not accessible by public transit
