You will be proud.POSITION SUMMARY:The Technical Sales Representative is responsible for customer service and technical sales functions for a designated sales region of Morgan Corporation. The position is responsible for providing customer support at all levels that exceeds customer expectations. Responsibilities include all technical sales duties, including quoting orders, entering orders, and providing status reports. This role will closely interface with Regional Sales Managers and with the Northeast distributor network. The successful candidate will have demonstrated strong customer service skills, as well as strong computer skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook.KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Make outbound phone calls to new leads, previous leads and existing customers. Focus is on turning these leads into sales opportunities by following-up on their past and current inquiries.Receive inbound phone calls from new leads and existing customers and to convert those leads into sales opportunitiesAnswer phone calls in a timely manner; return calls promptlyWork closely with Regional Sales Managers (RSMs), distributor network and customers to provide customer support on all levelsProcess quotes in a timely mannerLog and process sales through the order entry processRespond promptly and process quickly all cancellations, credit memos change orders, manual invoices and customer complaintsAddress customer complaints courteously & professionallyCoordinate with manufacturing and shipping departments to meet customer needsOther duties as assignedEXPERTISE REQUIRED/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Four-year degree, preferredTruck van body construction knowledge, a plusExcellent computer skills, especially Word, Excel and OutlookAS400 experience, a plusExcellent phone and communication skillsAbility to work overtime on a continual basisStrong follow-up and follow-through skillsSales and customer service experience, a plusPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Working in an office environment in a seated position a minimum of eight hours per day is required. Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. May require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques required. May include lifting up to 25 pounds for files, computer printouts on occasion.The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas where under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection.
