Learn more about this opportunity below:We are seeking a full-time Health & Safety Coordinator to join our team. Using superior communication skills, you will make the health and safety of our employees a top priority. Primarily, this role is responsible for ensuring our Occupational Health and Safety policies, procedures, and provincial requirements are continuously up to date.Responsibilities and Duties- Responsible for the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC);- Conduct JHSC monthly meetings;- Develop and document Tag and Lockout procedures, Health and Safety procedures and workplace inspections guidelines;- Participate in monthly workplace inspections;- Conduct Health and Safety training for new employee orientation, annual employee education and Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS);- Participate in WorksafeNB inspections and coordinate improvements when necessary;- Complete WorksafeNB’s Form 67 incident reports;- Work alongside Human Resources and Managers for gradual return to work of employees;- Report incidents in the Systemair TIA system;- Ensure Systemair Bouctouche is meeting the employer responsibilities for the Occupational Health and Safety Act;- Seek improvements of our Health and Safety processes;- Assume other related tasks assigned by Manager;Qualifications- Professional level of written and oral communication required; both official languages an asset;- Thorough experience in Microsoft Office required;- Training in First Aid required – will provide training if not already certified;- Previous experience in leading JHSC preferred;- Previous experience in providing Health and Safety training preferred;- Experience in Occupational Health and Safety preferred;- Education in Occupational Health and Safety Management and/or Human Business Management an asset.Employees should be willing to learn and eager to bring new ideas to their team.
