Job descriptionBlaisdale Montessori School Career OpportunityPosition: Early Childhood Educator (RECE)Pre-School ClassroomJob Type: Full TimeLocation: 80 Rhonda Blvd.– Bowmanville, OntarioHours: Up to 40 hours per week.Rate of Pay: $19.05-$21.05Anticipated Start Date: Jan 26-2022About the roleAt Blaisdale Montessori School you will work as a Registered Early Childhood Educator alongside some of the most passionate, caring, and dedicated educators in the industry. You will spend your time engaging, connecting, and learning alongside children, families, community partners, and co-workers. You will model and grow a perspective of equity and strive for a deeper understanding of cultural awareness. You will work up to 40 hours a week from Monday to Friday. Hours typically run from 8 am to 5 am.About youYou are passionate about early learning and care, emergent curriculum, and life-long learning. You are energetic, resourceful, and creative in your pursuits of creating learning opportunities, building connections, and engaging with children and families. You are registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators and possess the training and documents required by the Ministry of Education to work in a child care setting.Some accountabilities associated with the role includes: · Planning and implementing play-based experiences surrounding childrens interests.· Observing and documenting childrens learning.· Building relationships with families and including them in the learning process.· Working as part of a team with Co-workers, Families, Community Partners, and Children.· Ensuring the safety of staff and children by learning and acknowledging all childrens diverse needs, backgrounds, and creating equitable opportunities for all children to engage.· Demonstrating respect for spaces by ensuring the safety and cleanliness of all equipment, furniture, and materials.2021 Educator Rates per Hour· Educators registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators or Equivalent has a starting rate of $19.05· Starting rate for non-RECEs is $16.80· The rates above include the wage enhancementTo ApplyPlease send your resume and cover letter.In keeping with Blaisdale Montessori School’s commitment to providing service in a manner that is accessible to all reasonable accommodations, it will be provided for applicants upon request.
