Job Description

Fire Apparatus Mechanic – Pump and Aerial Ladders Summary:We are looking for Fire Apparatus Mechanic – Pump and Aerial Ladders to join our team to inspect, test and repair all types of fire truck aerial ladders and pumps. This role is a road service position so very good customer service skills and a valid and clean driver #39;s license is a requirement for the role.Responsibilities:

  • Identify and complete all necessary repairs needed
  • Inspecting each unit for any defects, loose parts etc.
  • Check all repair work to ensure that equipment is in good and safe operating condition.
  • Review documentation and or repair order to ensure all required information on repair order is accurate legible and complete.
  • Record parts and equipment utilized on the repair order and ensure the parts person is aware of the stock taken
Qualificationamp; Skills:
  • Previous experience working on emergency vehicles is an asset
  • Mechanical knowledge/aptitude in electrical and mechanical systems
  • Understand and adhere to the Ministry of Transportation rules and regulations.
  • Dependable, hardworking, punctual, reliable, team player with a positive attitude.
